Oil immersed transformer classification
Oil immersed transformers 1000kVA and above, shall be installed outdoor thermometer type signal, and then the distant signal. 800kVA and above should be installed oil-immersed transformer gas relay and pressure protection device, 800kVA transformer oil-immersed according to the following requirements, in consultation with the manufacturer, but also can be equipped with gas relay. Oil Immersed Transformers are mostly used for outside applications
Because of safety reason and the flammability of the oil in the oil type transformer,oil immersed transformers are mostly used for outside applications. Farady oil immersed distribution transformers are suitable in case of external installations or in the most heavy industrial areas. The transformers are filled with mineral oil free from PCB and PCT. The oil tank is realized to allow the oil expansion during the normal heating and cooling phases of transformer due to load cycles, or by a radiators system. It is also possible to produce transformers in the version with oil conservator or the hermetic type.
