Farady oil transformer offer an environmentally responsible, high efficiency, safer choice. The units have high-fire-point fluid, providing fire safety benefits, and a projected life well beyond that of a traditional mineral-oil transformer. These efficient and cost-effective transformers use fluid. Because of safety reason and the flammability of the oil in the oil type transformer, they are mostly used for outside applications. One of the safety features in an oil immersed power transformers is a sensor to tell if gas is accumulating inside the transformer, which is a sign of an electric arc in the winding. This prevents catastrophic burnout. Below are a list of a few areas where oil filled transformer are used.

Electric Power Transformer

Farady oil immersed transformers are suitable in case of external installations or in the most heavy industrial areas. Farady transformers are filled with mineral oil free from PCB and PCT. The tank is realized  in order to allow the oil expansion during the normal heating and cooling phases of transformer due to load cycles, or by a radiators system. It is also possible to produce transformers in the version with oil conservator or the hermetic type. This series has advantages of high reliability, low loss, low noise, low temperature rise and low part discharge.

Transformers with on load tap changer

The on load tap changer transformer is used to vary the voltage ratio with the transformer on duty providing uninterrupted regulation. The on load tap changer is activated by a motor drive. Drive shafts and bevel gear units mechanically connect the motor-drive to the on load tap changer. An electronic step voltage regulator is used for sensing the voltage variation and to operate automatically the motor drive. The OLTC installed in our power transformers are of technically advanced design.

The design of the oil immersed power transformer

The design of the oil immersed power transformer, windings can be continuous or interleaved disc, simple or multiple helix. Cooling channels are made with duly shaped rods and flow guide rings. Tappings are provided on the HV windings, controlled either by means of an off circuit switch or an on load tap changer transformer.In addition to power and distribution transformer manufacturer，power transformers either for general purposes (reducing-increasing voltage on main grid, feeding auxiliary transformers, transferring to the grid the own produced current) and for specific purposes (industrial transformers, autotransformers, insulation transformers, starting transformers, transformers for testing ..).

The farady step up transformers

The farady step up transformers are transformers used in booster transfer networks or in central outputs either unloaded or with a load graduality up to a maximum power of 4MVA, 35 kV. They are produced as either dry or oil forced types. The forced dry type power transformer are manufactured as either hermetic or with tanks. In dry types containers can be produced up to IP44 according to protection class. Casts can be manufactured in Standard or in condensed form or upon request.
