Farady Customized Design transformers

With our customized design are we flexible to meet various requirements of customers. The farady oil immersed distribution transformers will be made to order and handled as an individual project to be sure that all specific requirements are met. The customization process covers everything from both electrical and mechanical design parameters to the level of accessories and instrumentation. This gives farady transformer factory full freedom to meet special requirements on impedance, level of losses, noise level and it also gives us the possibility to fit the transformers into places with space restrictions.

Farady oil type transformer standard Design

Our standard oil immersed distribution transformers are manufactured to meet the requirements of international standards (IEC). Design according to other national standards (ANSI, BS etc.) is available upon request.Our standard farady oil type transformers are hermetically sealed and made with corrugated tank design. The flexible corrugated cooling will take up the oil expansion. Upon request can the transformer be made free breathing, which means adding an oil expansion/conservator tank equipped with a dehydrating breather. The energy losses are standardized to three categories; normal, medium and low losses. Other specific requirements in terms of energy losses can be achieved with our customized design. The level of accessories and monitoring equipment is limited to such types that can be retrofitted to the standard design.

The oil immersed distribution transformers are feasibly-priced devices, designed for monitoring distribution, power, dry-type transformer and wind farm transformers. The monitors optionally include 6 A, 250 V relays that are programmable by the user and may be configured for automatic fan control, alarm activation, or to automatically trip the transformer off line. Contact status (open or closed) is indicated by LEDs located in the front panel. All models include one USB and one RS-485 port for remote communication with a master station, using DNP 3.0 or Modbus protocols. The rail mount modular design allows a serial port daisy-chain arrangement to interconnect several modules, thus increasing the number of input and output signals of the system to satisfy end-user requirements.

Farady Electric Co.,Ltd VR-8 single phase step voltage regulators are tap-changing autotransformers. They regulate distribution line voltages from 10% raise (boost) to 10% lower (buck) in thirty-two steps of approximately 5/8% each. Voltage ratings are available from 2400 volts (60 kV BIL) to 34,500 volts (200 kV BIL) for 60 Hz and 50 Hz systems. Internal potential winding taps and an external ratio correction transformer are provided on all ratings so that each regulator may be applied to more than one system voltage. Smaller kVA sizes are supplied with support lugs for pole mounting and with substation or platform tie down provisions. Larger sizes are provided with substation bases with pad-mounting provisions
